Levens Hall & Topiary Gardens
Elizabethan Mansion home of the Bagot family containing fine furniture & superb paneling. The world famous Topiary Gardens were first laid out in 1694.

Sizergh Castle, near Kendal
The oldest part of Sizergh Castle is the pele tower, dating from the 14th century. There is a fine collection of Elizabethan carvings & paneling, fine furniture and portraits & portraits.

Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway
From Haverthwaite station, hard working steam locomotives haul comfortable coaches through the contrasting lake, and the river scenery of the Leven Valley.
